Starting in October, the English Department revamped the weekly English morning assembly into the LKCSS English Morning Reading Quest. These inspiring sessions guide students through Chinese and Western traditions, encourage them to discuss core school values such as grit and family, and explore popular local events like the Disgusting Food Museum exhibition.

Additionally, the English Morning Cafe provides an engaging platform to broaden students' exposure to diverse literature and themes. During a recent session, Mr. Hui shared the book Billy Elliot, captivating students with the moving story of a young boy who bravely chased his passion for ballet. His sharing highlighted the essential values of commitment, perseverance, and respect for individual differences, leaving students with a powerful reminder to fearlessly pursue their own dreams while honouring the unique paths of others.
